WAS THAT ME?! combines everyday life with cartoonish genre plots to create a fast-paced slacker-style set. Winners of Montreal’s 2025 Threepio Improv Tournament, we have been playing together for 5 years, and have a combined 30+ years of improv experience.
Two members on the team are longtime improv teachers in the Montreal community and the three of us were on another team together that won the Hot Shots competition of 2024. Outside of Montreal, team members have been featured in festivals in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Hartford, Detroit, Austin, and Beijing! (And that's no joke!) We are excited to bring big crowds and wow them with quick-witted and relatable comedy!
Since 2023, Macbeth has been performing weekly shows as a house team at the Magnet Theater in NYC. Defined by rich character development and patient stage setting, a Macbeth show is long-form improv that simmers until it boils over and stains your stove.

The boys have known each other for a long time. They met as infants at Théâtre Sainte-Catherine, where they grew into men. They do all kinds of improv shows, but mainly the kinds that tell the stories the boys like. The boys aren't back in town - they never left.

What if a story didn't need words?
SHHH! is Ottawa's non-verbal improv duo. Joël Paulin and Philippe Marchand met at a clown workshop in 2024 and started an improv project with one rule: no words. Using movement, object work, and gesture, they build stories that come alive in the audience's imagination.
Within a year, SHHH! won Outstanding New Troupe 2025 from the Ottawa improv community, performed at the Ottawa Improv Festival and the Jamboree, and built a regular following with a playful, physical approach to storytelling that speaks for itself.
The Fates
(Rapid Fire Theatre)

The Fates are a fresh new group out of Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton. Though their spirits have only been ethereally linked as The Fates since 2025, these four mystical sisters have performed together for years in numerous shows and improv forms outside of their esoteric bond. These seers met through the Edmonton improv scene in the early 2010’s. The sparks of this troupe were born when Steven and Christina took a Tarot class in 2016. The Fates bring their love of divination to the short form comedy world, mixing spirit and satire in short scenes. Prepare to be aghast as we attempt to peer behind the veil of the future. You may discover a horrifying inner truth, or simply be warned that some mysteries are best left unknown.
