About the event
To connect deeply with an audience, performers must first connect with themselves and each other. Trusting in the process, in your scene partners, and in your own instincts, is the foundation of this connection.
In this workshop, we will explore how trust can be cultivated through intentional listening, physical awareness, and emotional safety - three elements that we believe are cornerstones of authentic performance. Beyond the familiar tool of “Yes, and,” we’ll explore what it means to truly rely on and support one another, both onstage and off.
Exercises will utilise movement, embracing stillness, discussion, and scene work. We’ll touch on practices of consent and boundaries, particularly for scenes involving intimacy and vulnerability.
